Halloween Movie Round-Up

Halloween Movie Round-Up

With fall weather in full swing, and Halloween coming up, what better way to spend the nights than by eating snacks, piling on the blankets and watching a movie?

I’ve rounded up some of my top movie picks for Halloween, with a mix of both family friendly movies, and ones that are a bit scarier. I personally love classic horror movies, anything scary and all things Halloween. I hope you find something you can’t wait to watch. I actually have some stories about both numbers #7 and #17 on the list, so make sure you keep scrolling past the list to read them.

So, let’s start with #7 on the list, since this one isn’t embarrassing. Growing up on Long Island and only about 15 minutes from the infamous Amityville Horror House, I’ve obviously watched all the movies and heard all of the stories. My mom even babysat down the block from it as a teenager. Well one day, I found out that the family living there at the time was having an indoor garage sale. Guess who was there the next day, bright and early? Yours truly. While no one was allowed upstairs to any of the bedrooms, the rest of the house was super nice and surprisingly not creepy at all. Until I went in the basement. There was one of those giant stability ball things, that you use to workout with. Well, there it was just moving around, all by itself. I am sure it was just because someone bumped into it, or maybe there was a dip in the floor causing it to roll. But I hightailed it outta there so fast and didn’t bother to wait around to figure out what caused it to move. It’s safe to say I didn’t buy anything.

Okayyy, and now onto number #17, which isn’t as long winded but is just a tad more embarrassing. It was 1990 and Stephen King’s, It, had just been released. I was 2 or 3 and had super cool parents that let me watch it. Wellllll, for about 6 months after I refused to go anywhere near a drain and had to be bathed standing up in my sister's baby bath.

Let me know in the comments below, which Halloween movie is your favorite, and would you add anything to this list?
